Wonder Woman Golden Age

This is a special piece for me. It is an update on an illustration that I did several years ago which led to a number of commission pieces and eventually a comic deal with a client specifically interested in doing golden age style supers stories. In the end, between my schedule and their concepts we abandoned the negotiations on that particular project, but I was pretty stoked at the time to be talking about doing a book set in the 40s. No regrets and it wasn’t a good time for it, but it subsequently fueled my interest in designing period looks for costumed heroes, which in turn ultimately led to my Cryptohistory Redesign series that I do to this day. It all started with drawing Diana here, and not even a redesign!
