I started reading X-Men in elementary school, and the first book I picked up, literally the FIRST COMIC I BOUGHT EVER was X-Men #173. I fell right into the X-Men in Japan, poisoned, and Wolverine and Rogue running around being hunted by the Silver Samurai. I mean! So this holds a very special place in my nostalgia for the kind of adventure and imagery that sucked me into this world. Claremont wrote it, but Paul Smith made it real. I wanted to capture that feeling of dread, with the Silver Samurai looming in the dark behind Logan.
