Supergirl [Halloween 2016]
Every year, we try to put together a few holiday themed illustrations here at Wrong Rocket: usually Halloween, December holiday season/New Years, and a few others. Joao and I have done pinups of Posthuman RPG Universe characters in years past, but we're back to doing mainstream characters in Halloween-themed costuming this year. For mine, I chose Supergirl: specifically, the version Benoist plays on the TV series. I took cues from that design, and simplified it through the removal of the belt and changing up the cape detail. The raggedy cape bleeding into the ground like inky black tendrils was a fun touch, and I enjoyed all the piping to give the costume the orange accents. In the process log you can see some alternate versions. We hope you have a great holiday this year, brewing toxic concoctions and axe-bursting your loved ones! Also candy.
