Scandal Savage [60's Cryptohistorical Redesign]
Sinister Six was my jam for awhile. I drew a Cryptohistorical Redesign of Catman as Man-Cat so I thought I’d follow it up with alternate history versions of the rest of the team. For Scandal Savage, I set her in the late 60s, so I was looking to evoke some Avengers [Emma Peel] catsuit references, but brought in a motif of oiled bronze in the detailing of the costume and the wrist bracers that hold the retractable blades. This is a reference to her great grandfather, another of my redesigns, Vandal Savage set in the 1800’s, which featured some steampunk style mechanical armatures. So a reference to a reference to characters that don’t exist in canon but I do what I want.
