Power Girl + Booster Gold Dance
This piece was an original art commission, where my client wanted creative ways to emphasize Power Girl’s subversive alpha/masculinity. They were very interested in different ideas about ways she could be shown emasculating male Justice league members. I happen to find women leading in dance perfectly reasonable. My client felt this concept, among the several we discussed, was the funniest one based on imagining how much Booster Gold was the epitome of toxic masculinity in the comics at the time, at least in his mind (I would have said Guy Gardner)… anyway, once the piece was completed and I shared it in my art forum, people liked it so I have it in the shop! What I tried to show was that while it may have taken Booster Gold off guard, he doesn’t dislike it…
