Phoenix [Dave Cockrum White Costume]

When I saw the original art for Dave Cockrum’s Uncanny X-Men designs I was blown away. The use of the white in this costume version just popped for me. I’ve drawn a few different versions of it over time, including a 60’s redesign and some private commissions, so I know I’m not alone. I never really liked the green version, despite the clear nod to some of Jean Grey’s earlier looks.
