Jean Grey [New X-Men]

from $8.00

Jean Grey’s look was the most striking to me of the Grant Morrison/ Frank Quitely New X-Men redesigns. Those looks have been credited with the film X-Men’s black and gold leather aesthetic, but it’s hard to remember now how bold a choice these dark uniforms was, and how it was the most organized, aligned look for X-men uniforms we’d had since the start. When she took her jacket off, under Quitely’s hand it was rad to see how the horizontal pattern is used to accentuate her figure. Can’t underestimate the utility and clean lines of using pants! This is one of my best selling Jean Grey pieces at shows.
