The Mandalorian
I wanted to draw Mando from the day they announced the series, and must have roughed out a dozen designs over the first season. I ended up doing Baby Yoda, or the Child, or Grogu, first, for my kids. I actually really love the Beskar armor version that we get at the end of S01 (I have assumed that the armor prior was a combination of Beskar and other amalgamations, like the EU’s Durasteel) but all the same, I am attracted to the colors of the original look, and the mismatched armor components. My main goal on this piece was to prominently feature his Disintegrator Rifle (the Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster, specifically) because it is so visually striking with the tuning fork situation up front. I decided to use the Razor Crest as a backdrop because I’m a glutton for punishment.
