Illyana Rasputin was one of my favorite New Mutants for a long time. As a kid, I was really intrigued by the sibling dynamic she shared with Peter, and as she grew into her own person and out of that shadow of being protected by him, at least int he way she was always being written, she became a lot more interesting. Her links to Limbo would change her, both in personality and appearance, in the decades that followed, but in this one I focused on her New Mutants days when she first began tapping into those powers and that dimensional link, with the magic armor bits and the sword and such. Magic fire is fun!
