Liz Sherman - Hellboy
Liz Sherman really struck a cord with me in those early BPRD issues. I like Selma Blair and I liked the Hellboy films fine, but there was something more raw and urgent in the comics, but also kind of fun in her spirit. This was the first time I drew her.
As noted in my Liz Sherman Halloween pinup, Mignola never intended her to be an attractive female character. She was withdrawn, haunted, broken and that reflected in her appearance and general demeanor. But I couldn’t help but go a more envlgored direction.
