Jane Foster Thor
Some years back I designed and illustrated a speculative female Thor. This was prior to Jane Foster taking on Mjolnir in the comics. I do a lot of redesigns for fun, from cryptohistorical ones (other time periods) to costume designs to gender bending, as was the case with the original illustration. A very nice customer came to me at the end of the night at a show in Portland and purchased the piece for her daughter. A few weeks later, she commissioned a version of Jane Foster as Thor as a companion piece. This is the fruit of that labor. I really enjoy the color blocking of this design, especially with the cape saturated. The ‘breast armor’ and some of the other components are actually hard to draw, and the helmet makes it difficult to resolve the face, but I enjoyed the challenge!
The original Female Thor can be found in this gallery as well!
