Iron Man Bleeding Edge Armor

from $8.00

A lot of the modern Iron Man armors in the comics have left me a bit cold. I think in large part this was because of the chicken and egg problem of adapting the overly-complex MCU armor design language that Iron Man designer extraordinaire Adi Granov developed. The complexity for film (and granted I think most film costumes are two textured and complex overall) is needed for visual interest in 3D and motion. In comics, it can be a nightmare: hard to draw consistently, easy to get lost in the details. I was really pleased with the Bleeding Edge armor design. It feels like it speaks to both the language of the comics and the films, and I realllllly love the smaller repulsor type pulse lights around the armor for visual interest. It was the first armor since maybe Silver Centurion that I could see him wearing long term and me never getting bored with it. And I say that as a huge Iron Man comics fan from the remote past.
