Princess Leia Happy New Year Pinup [Star Wars]
For this year’s Wrong Rocket Happy New Year Pinup series, we have contributing artists from the US, Portugal, and Germany. For the 2021 - 2022 collection, we continue our theme of ball gowns and cocktail dresses, as if attending a galactic celebration. The third of four pieces this year is Princess Leia Organa, with Jabba the Hutt as the New Year’s Baby. This one was illustrated by Joao Marques. The gown is based on a combination of Leia’s classic slave bikini blended with the regal cloaks she wore later as General Organa. I really love the confidence and swagger in her pose here. Jabba cracks me up with the little arms, as well!
