Enchantress
This illustration of Enchantress from classic Marvel was done for a dear friend and collaborator Vlad Fiks, who passed away several years ago. We exchanged art many times over the years and he was a great inspiration to me in experimenting with new tools and techniques, including digital inking and all-digital illustration at a time when I exclusively digitally colored scanned in hand pencilled and inked work. In this particular case, it was a melancholy, incomplete exchange, as this was sent to him but he died before receiving it. Several Marvel fans at shows have picked this one up which I’m glad about. I feel like it keeps the vibe of his friendship moving out in the world.
