Captain Carter [What If?]
I’ve drawn a few female Captain America concepts over the years, and a few fun Agent Carter pieces, but the debut of Marvel’s What If? series just exploded with awesome, when introducing a serum-enhanced Captain Carter. I really liked a lot of the design choices in the costume, and I appreciate her hair being exposed, showcasing the victory rolls. Much like Chris Evans as bearded Cap in Endgame, it’s a look that really underscores that the Captain _____ concept is, at its heart, the person themselves and their ideals. I did make some small adjustments to the torso striping, but otherwise it’s pretty much done as we saw on screen. I’ve added Steve Rogers in the armor for fun, but I can’t get Haywire out of my mind. Loved doing this one! UPDATE: Since this was drawn, Captain Carter appeared in Dr. Strange: Multitude of Madness, or at least one of her variants. No matter how you slice it, it was fun to see her in live action.
