Asajj Ventress and the Carnivorous Ewoks

from $8.00

This was easily one of the most interesting commissions I’ve taken on in the last few years: the client wanted ‘Carnivorous Ewoks’ and left the rest entirely open to interpretation. I’ve been catching up on the Clone Wars series, so I decided to do an out-of-continuity speculative piece, which assumes that Ventress was sent by Darth Tyranus (I hate the name Count Dooku so much, I cannot even) to dismantle a secret early Federation outpost of Clone Troopers on a strategic moon orbiting Endor. There’s a bunch of different Clone Trooper helmets being used as brain bowls here, and it was quite an undertaking. Each Ewok was drawn and rendered separately, then composited and adjusted to fit the composition. I just love the style of Ventress’ long dress look in the show, and wanted to play up that regal sleekness to contrast against her knowing sneer. I’m happy to report the client was delighted.

:::

Art prints suitable for framing, printed on heavyweight Premium Silk Matte acid free archival print paper, made to last a lifetime. Prints ship flat in a reinforced mailer or rolled in a sturdy tube, depending on size. Prints are ready to ship within 1-5 days. All prints are signed by the artist.
