Agent Brand [Redesign]
When Agent Brand and the concept of S.W.O.R.D. were introduced, I was initially intrigued at the idea of the inversion of what S.H.I.E.L.D. was supposed to be as a core value: preventative, offensive action instead of defensive and intelligence based work. I liked Brand’s green hair and the relationship between her and Beast. Over time, the concepts that separated the two organizations blurred, but the character was still pretty cool to me. It was neat they ended up putting Alpha Flight on the station, but I haven’t drawn any of those versions just yet. Here I have a soft personal design for Brand in a battle kit wielding a Sufficiently Oversized Weapon, as one does. In the books she has long green hair and glasses, and I gave her a chopped hairstyle and warpaint.
